Choose the Sanctuary Chairs
Imagine how many people will sit in each sanctuary chair over the next 100 years! Give your feedback to this practical, but important decision. Try each sample – touch, sit, feel, poke. What do you like? What don’t you like? Is it comfortable? How does it look? Does it open and close quietly?
Disregard the fabrics and finishes. These are samples, and the Building Committee will select a fabric color and texture to coordinate with other materials in the room. Click here to vote on your favorite chair.
This church has always looked to the future. We began with a dream that God would use us to change our community and the world, and amazing things have happened. Over the past 23 years, God has done something far beyond even our wildest imagination. Like ripples across a pond, each life that has been transformed here has led to many more being touched. Now, as we look to the future, we believe God is calling us to build the right tools to fulfill the next wave of this vision.
Our buildings are important tools for ministry. They can foster ministry, or impede it. As we look to the future, we know that our current building challenges are a barrier to reaching and engaging new people and building a vital Christian community.
For the past three years, we have been dreaming, studying and designing a campus site plan that will address our current building challenges by:
- Bring all programs for adults and children under one roof
- Create a sanctuary that is more intimate and sacred
- Foster community through fellowship and small group participation
- Improve Matthew’s Ministry programming
- Expand the church’s mission efforts
Our Building Committee has gathered input from our congregation and worked closely with our design team to create a plan for our campus that will glorify God and ensure that we have the right tools for reaching future generations and continuing to fulfill our church’s mission.
Our mission has never been about buildings, but we know that the right building will help us fulfill our mission and vision. Each of us is here because someone who came before us was willing to give sacrificially to build a place where people would become committed followers of Jesus Christ who are equipped and inspired to share their faith beyond the church walls. Now it is our time. Over the next three years, we can make our dreams a reality. But, it will require sacrificial gifts from each of us – gifts over and above our annual giving to our church. We each have different means and resources, but we can all share proportionately. Together, we can do something bigger than any of us could ever do on our own.
